Ingredients

  • 2.2-2.5 kg Beef Brisket
  • 1 tblsp olive oil
  • 215 gm can chipotles in adobo sauce
  • 1 red onion,
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 11/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1tsp oregano flakes
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tblsp apple cider vinegar
  • 500 ml Campbells Real Stock Beef

Preparation

Step 1
Preheat oven to 160°C.
Step 2
Place chillies in adobo, onion, garlic, cumin, oregano and cloves in a the small bowl of a food processor. Process to a paste like consistency
Step 3
Heat oil in a ovenproof/stovetop proof saucepan and brown brisket all over.
Step 4
Place the paste mixture with Brisket, bay leaves, vinegar and Campbells Real Stock Beef.
Step 5
Place in the oven for 3 hours. Remove from oven. When cool shred meat and return to sauce. If sauce needs thickening place on stove top for 5 minutes before returning shredded beef.
Step 6
Serve with avocado salsa, sour cream and tortillas

  • Try this recipe using pork shoulder.
